This
is the first book from the new educational series, Music Is the Key to
Learning. This Piano Solo book comes with an Orchestrated CD by the well
known composer and arranger, Larry R. Beebe. This series is produced and made available by America's Family Learning Center and is also made available through
Larice Music Enterprises.
There are five well-known children's songs in this volume. They are:
Jesus
Wants Me for a Sunbeam, I Am a Child of God, Popcorn Popping, Tell me
the Stories of Jesus, and Give, Said the Little Stream.
There are two levels of arrangements for each selection in the book. Medium and Medium Easy. They are fun for all to play.
Educational aspects include:
- maintaining a steady tempo
- working with dynamics and phrasing
- encouraging smooth fingering
- increasing musicianship
- developing the skill to play changing key signatures within individual pieces
