Young Citizens of America (YCOA), a division of America's Family Foundation, a non-profit educational organization, was developed to share with and teach children, ages 6-13, on the Constitution of the United States of America, the hopes and ideals of the Founding Fathers, and the positive possibilities for their future.

YCOA is designed for personal achievement, opportunity for development of a well-rounded individual, motivation and utilization of tools for active citizenship, and strengthening determination to be an outstanding example and leader.

Young people have an innate ability to recognize and understand truth.  They love to learn when it is presented in a challenging but fun way.  Music has proven to be a most effective tool for long-term recall, and for developing and preserving a tender love for America.


The minds and capabilities of our young people are our greatest resource.  Nourish these and America will prosper.



Beginning in 1983, and continuing through 1988, Larry and Alice Beebe conceived, developed and implemented the Young Citizens of America program, a children's educational organization promoting the growth of Young Americans through the arts.

YCOA stresses the importance of physical fitness, grooming, appropriate dress standards. study skills, etiquette and behavior.
This division encompasses the reading and studying of books written by and about our Constitutional Framers, history of America, and other nations' political structures.
We, the Young Citizens of America, are the watchmen of freedom, heralds of truth, strength of the nation, and defenders of the Constitution of the United States of America.
Music, a significant conductor of thought, transcends language and cultural barriers, opens the mind for understanding and creates a memorable learning experience with instant recall.  Because of music's remarkable power to help children learn, as well as the enjoyment that comes from good music, we use this great teaching tool extensively throughout the programs of America's Family.
Speaker's Bureau
The YCOA Speakers' Bureau was established to promote individual confidence and skill in public speaking.  The students participating in the speakers' Bureau examine America's history, be instructed in the art of public speaking, develop speech writing skills, and prepare speeches and discussions to be given at varying events.
The students in this class are developing skills in American History art, drawings, paintings, early American crafts, printmaking, photography, and multi-media work.
Young Citizens of America has developed a series of ten educational, picture and story booklets covering the events which lead up to the Constitutional Convention and the laws contained in that document.
Young Citizens Weekly Classes
These classes are held each Thursday afternoon and once a month on Saturday morning.  Registration for the summer begins March 26th and goes through April 13th.  Please contact us for more details.
The Young Citizens of America Ambassadors are an activity arm of the Young Citizens of America (YCOA) program.  They are highly visible and an effective tool in communicating thoughts, feelings, and beliefs.  The concept of children teaching children is a successful mode for learning.
Young Citizens of America online program will be available on September 17, 225th Anniversary of the Signing of the U.S. Constitution.
